Near & Dear

For families living apart

Stay near. Stay dear.

Near & Dear is a gentle AI companion that checks in on the people you love — so you can be there, even when you can't be in the room.

It started with a father who didn't like texting

Jerry is in his 80s. Texting never felt right to him. So his son built Angel — a patient, friendly AI companion that checked in through the day and never once teased him about his punctuation. When Jerry said he was feeling worse two mornings in a row, Angel had already made the pattern visible. A doctor's visit later, a serious case of pneumonia was caught early. Near & Dear is that idea, rebuilt for iPhone.

The things that matter most

Near & Dear asks about the everyday signals families worry about when they're apart. You choose which check-ins are turned on — the Dear One only ever sees the ones that are.

Blood Pressure

The Dear One taps in a reading on a big, simple keypad — top number, slash, bottom number.

Heart Rate

One number, one keypad, one tap to submit.

Blood Sugar

A quick reading, logged in seconds without a form to fill out.

Mood & Feeling

Big buttons from better to worse — and a gentle follow-up when someone is really struggling.

Medications

A short list for that time of day, marked off with a tap.

Loved ones shouldn't lose track because of distance

Near & Dear is coming soon to the Apple App Store. Be the first to bring a gentle companion into your family's daily rhythm.
